Pilates and Relaxation sessions
Having taught Pilates for over 17 years, Sonia brings her unique combination of classical and dynamic Pilates to her classes. Utilising her training in 3 different pilates schools, as well as specialist training, the weekend will include energising, strengthening and mobilising sessions to restore and revitalise your body. Adaptations are offered throughout the classes.
Each evening will culminate in a guided relaxation session, allowing your body and mind to relax and prepare you for a restful night's sleep.
Nutrition Talk, Country Walks and Siteseeing
Joining us during the weekend, Nutritional Therapist and Naturopath, Sophie Vaz will talk about naturopathic strategies to help you build stress resilience, so you can thrive.
Sonia will be leading a walk through the South Downs, to enjoy the awe-inspiring landscape filled with wild flora and fauna.
Sonia's walk and Sophia's talk are included in the cost of the retreat.
There will also be plenty of free time for you to explore on your own, whether to walk the Downs, visit the nearby farm shop or Charleston House, a gathering point for some of the 20th century’s most radical artists, writers and thinkers known collectively as the Bloomsbury group.
Sauna and Massages
During the retreat there will be plenty of downtime to allow you to relax in the Cedar Wood Sauna or unwind with a therapeutic massage by the expert massage therapists available.
Use of the sauna is included in the cost of the retreat.
Massages are an additional extra and can be booked in advance.
You can use SAT NAV for the bulk of your journey, but please be advised it does not work once you leave the A27. Too many cars have ended up in ditches by following the voice of their sat nav !
Here is what you need to know:-
Take the Charleston turn off of the A27, just past Middle Farm if coming from the west. Follow the broken private road, but go PAST the turn off for Charleston Farmhouse, after which the road bends left, with the South Downs on your right. You are now driving between two fields. As soon as you reach a barn directly in front of you, take a small track LEFT. Drive slowly and continue on to the end and onto a gravel driveway. You are at Tilton House. Park up.
It's not that easy to get to us by public transport, but here are some options.
Take a train to Lewes (direct from Gatwick or Victoria), then take a taxi to us with GM Taxis +44 (0)1273 473 737 for about £18.
Take a train to Lewes (direct from Gatwick or Victoria) then walk down to Lewes bus station and take the 125 bus alighting at Charleston Farmhouse Drive on the A27. You then walk a mile down the track to us - look out for Cezannes' in the hedge !
Take a train to Berwick Station and ride (mountain bike not road bike) to us. Should take about 20 mins via the Old Coach Road.
We do NOT advise cycling on the A27 at any point.
All those attending events at Tilton House Ltd should complete and return their self declaration forms prior to arrival.
This is non negotiable. Admission will be denied if this is not completed.
All attendees will be required to take a lateral flow test prior to arrival, up to 24 hours before the retreat. Attendance will not be permitted for anyone with a positive lateral flow or PCR test.. Please ensure you take out travel insurance before attending the retreat.
