5 Tips to Help You Keep Your Fitness Resolutions

Hello. Late February is here and the New Year Resolutions are starting to slip, or may have gone altogether. Don’t despair there’s still time to bring those resolutions back! Here are 5 tips to help you keep your fitness resolutions:

1. Be Realistic

If you set yourself unachievable goals you’ll give up at the first hurdle. Don’t put the word NEVER in your resolution, choose an attainable goal, such as exercising once a week or to only eat chocolate at weekends!

2. Talk About Your Goal

Nothing keeps me on my toes more than telling people I will do something. Tell a friend or family member what your goal is so they can support you in your resolve.

3. Keep Track

Note down your achievements. It will inspire you to keep going and help you celebrate your success.

4. Reward Yourself

That doesn’t mean being a couch potato or binging on cake. Treat yourself to something you enjoy that doesn’t go against your goal, maybe some new workout gear or a night out with friends.

5. Keep Trying

So you flagged a bit, start again! It takes 66 days, according to University College London, to form a habit so it is likely you’ll stray from your goal until you’ve formed that habit. Don’t beat yourself up over it, just keep trying
